The third Soviet ruble was issued equal to 1,000,000 paper rubles of 19171922, simply to handle the unwieldiness over the number of digits in the first currency. Mint marks are denoted by "" or "M" on kopecks and the logo of either the Saint Petersburg or Moscow mint on rubles.
